Bucknell Reloading

BALTIMORE -- Pat Flannery is instilling a winning attitude for Bucknell's basketball program. It's all about not having any regrets, he says.

"Have no regrets, do everything you can to get ready," the 14th-year head coach said. "Control the controllable."

Flannery will have to take his own advice this season, after losing three starters from his 2006-07 team, which shared the Patriot League regular season title with Holy Cross.

Despite the loss of three starters, the Bison still return 10 letter winners and figure to stay atop the conference in 2007-08. Flannery identified John Griffin and Rob Thomas as two players whose contributions would be key in returning to the NCAA Tournament after a one year absence.

"They've been around and they know what it's about," Flannery said of his veterans.

The biggest problem Bucknell will be replacing center Darren Mastropaolo. Freshman Tood O'Brien, who is listed at 6'-11" and 221 lbs, will have to make a big impact inside to make up for the large void left by Mastropaolo.
