Plenty of Points In USC Scrimmage
By Jason Owens - October 13, 2007
LOS ANGELES -- The men's scrimmage looked about how you'd expect a Midnight Madness game to look -- somewhere between the Harlem Globetrotters and an And 1 mixed tape. There were a lot of ridiculous shots, uncontested dunks and not much defense.
The only surprise -- at least in my mind -- is that the white team didn't win. With O.J. Mayo and Taj Gibson leading the way, the white team seemed to have an edge, but freshman guard Angelo Johnson and redshirt freshman forward Kasey Cunningham stole the show on the other end of the court as the Cardinal pulled out the 78-51 win.
Mayo had plenty of highlights of his own to make up for not participating in the dunk contest earlier in the night.
