Mike Anderson Presser

By David Scott - October 17, 2007

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Just heard from my fellow Bostonian, the incomparable Phil Kasiecki, who is on-scene at CAA Media Day for Hang Time. You'll recall that Phil attended a ludicrous amount of college basketball games last year, something like 8,545. Despite the season having not started yet, Phil has most certainly been to a couple of dozen games already. Dude's a legend.

Some highlights from Missouri's Mike Anderson's press conference...

On the difference between this year and last (his first at Mizzou):
"I think with the non-conference schedule we have this year, we'll be a bit more ready for the Big 12 schedule than we were last year."

What he saw as the biggest difference between his former league (C-USA) and his current one:
"Well, No. 1, from top to bottom, every night you've got to go in and perform. C-USA was in tranistion my last couple of years. The first few years, it was a really good conference and one of the rising ones in the nation. But it was quite a difference my last year in C-USAvs. Also you had a guy named Kevin Durant and thank goodness he's gone -- I know Rick [Barnes] won't like to hear that, but thank goodnes he's gone."

On senior forward Marshall Brown:
"I'm expecting big things out of Marshall. It's his senior year and I expect more things out of him."
