Pond Is Deep For Ducks

LOS ANGELES -- There might be a few teams in the Pac-10 concerned about experience, but it's not a concern for Oregon coach Ernie Kent, who has five seniors including Malik Hairston, who graduated in three years, and talented shooting guard Bryce Taylor.

"As he goes, we will go," Kent said of Hairston.

Oregon's experience clearly had a lot to do with the media picking the Ducks third in the preseason poll but Kent also expects the Ducks' depth to be a big improvement from last year.

"Last year we could go six and a half, maybe seven deep," Kent said. "This year, we can go seven, eight, nine and if we have to, 10 deep. We have good players on the bench."

Kent expects freshman guard Kamyron Brown and transfer forward Frantz Dorsainvil to both make an impact for the Ducks.
