Sooners snare Willie Warren

By Bill Hodge - November 16, 2007

# Top 100 guard Willie Warren of Fort Worth-North Crowley, Tex., rated No. 12 in Class 2008, has chosen Oklahoma over Cincinnati, UConn and Kansas.

Van Coleman:
Thoughts on Warren's commitment: "This is huge for Oklahoma. They just picked up a JUCO forward in Kyle Cannon on Thursday, and now this gives them a guy they can rely on for production and play either guard spot on both ends of the floor. Willie Warren is one of the impact scorers in the 2008 class and can get in a zone. He'll need to work on limiting the volume of shots he takes, but once he does he'll be a draft pick and really open things up for the Sooners with chances at Big 12 runs."
