# Junior forward
Rodney Alexander of Benton Harbor, Mich/Redlands CC, Okla., will transfer from
Illinois. He played in 31 games, started 15 and averaged 4.6 points/2.9 rebounds last season.

Carlwell leaves Illinois

Brian Carlwell of Maywood-Proviso East, Ill., is transfering from
Illinois. He had played in only three games this season due to a knee injury.

Quinton Watkins joins San Diego State
# Super Prospect guard
Quinton Watkins of Compton-Dominguez, Cal., who was once committed to Southern California and then signed by Illinois in Class 2007, has enrolled at
San Diego State. Watkins failed to receive clearance from the NCAA Clearinghouse and was not admitted to Illinois. He will practice with the Aztecs, led by head coach Steve Fisher, immediately and have four years remaining beginning with the 2008-09 season.

Legion choses Illinois over Irish
# Freshman guard
Alex Legion of Inkster-Detroit County Day School, Mich/Oak Hill Academy, Va., who recently announced he was transfering from Kentucky, has committed to
Illinois over Notre Dame. Legion played in six games for Kentucky this season, started twice and averaged 6.7 points.
