Nevada forward to play football for Beavers
# Sophomore forward
Matt LaGrone of San Diego/H-Town Christian Academy, Cal/Reno-McQueen, Nev., is transfering from
Nevada to
Oregon State to play football with his brother. He played in 32 games last season for Nevada and started nine.

Wendell Wright of Lakewood-Mayfair, Cal., who gained a requested release from his signed letter to Loyola Maryland after the coaching change, has signed with
Portland State.

Tommy Brenton of Columbia-River Hill, Md/Hargrave MA, Va., and forward
Danny Carter of London, England, have signed with
Stony Brook.

Beavers drop CJ Giles
# Junior forward
CJ Giles of Seattle-Rainier Beach, Wash/Kansas, has been dismissed by
Oregon State. Giles, who also was dismissed by Kansas, was told at Oregon State during interim coach Kevin Mouton's first day on the job after the firing of head coach John Jay.
