# The Texas Longhorns have 12 Class 2007 verbals in defensive lineman Russell Carter of Houston-Westbury, Tex; defensive lineman Andre Jones of El Paso-Andress, Tex; athlete Foswhitt Whittaker of Pearland, Tex; defensive back/receiver Curtis Brown of Gilmer, Tex; defensive back Earl Thomas of Orange/West Orange-Stark, Tex; offensive lineman Andre McGaskey of LaMarque, Tex; offensive lineman Matt Nader of Austin-Westlake, Tex; offensive lineman Jerrod Gooch of Vidor, Tex; linebacker Keenan Robinson of Plano-East, Tex; defensive back Ben Wells of Beaumont-Ozen, Tex; offensive lineman Kyle Hix of Aledo, Tex; and offensive lineman Michael Huey of Kilgore, Tex.
# Notre Dame has its first Class 2007 commitment in defensive lineman/linebacker Kerry Neal of Bunn, NC.
# Texas A&M has Class 2007 running back Bradley Stephens of McAllen-Memorial, Tex.
# Top 150 receiver Vidal Hazelton of Hargrave MA, Va., has signed with the Southern California Trojans over Penn State. He had earlier picked the Trojans, but his father favored PSU and would not co-sign the letter-of-intent on Signing Day. The letter has now been received by USC with both signatures.
# Wisconsin has its first Class 2007 verbal in receiver Nick Toon of Middleton, Wis.
# Boston College has two Class 2007 verbals in receiver Corey Gatewood and linebacker Dan Williams, both from Belmont-Belmont Hill School, Mass.
