# Clemson has its fifth Class 2007 verbal in offensive lineman David Smith of Greenville, SC.
# BYU has its first Class 2007 verbal in receiver/defensive back Jordan Pendleton of South Jordan-Bingham, Utah.
# Mississippi has its fifth Class 2007 verbal in defensive back Jamison Hughes of Oxford, Miss. The Rebels recently gained linebacker Chris Strong of Batesville-South Panola, Miss.
# Class 2007 linebacker Derrick Stephens of Houston-Cypress Falls, Tex., has committed to Texas A&M.
# LSU gained its first Class 2007 verbal in receiver Gabriel Bryant of Jonesboro/Jonesboro-Hodge, La.
# Oregon State has a Class 2007 verbal in tight end/defensive lineman Carl Sommer of Milwaukie, Ore., according to OregonPreps.Com.
# USC has a Class 2007 verbal from linebacker Chris Galippo of Anaheim-Servite, Cal.
