QB Brantley to Horns; verbals for Vols, Mich, Fla

# One of the nation's top quarterback prospects, John Brantley of Ocala-Trinity Catholic, Fla., has committed to the Texas Longhorns over Alabama, Florida and Oklahoma. Others included Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina State, South Carolina and Tennessee. He passed for 2835 yards and 41 touchdowns as a junior. The Horns now have 18 commitments.
# Receiver Todd Campbell of Franklin, Tenn., has chosen Tennessee over South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
# Michigan has a Class 2007 commitment from defensive lineman/tight end Ryan VanBergen of Whitehall, Mich.
# The Florida Gators have a commitment from defensive lineman Jerry Howard of Orlando-Jones, Fla.
