# Outstanding offensive lineman Martin Coleman of Huntington Beach-Edison, Cal., committed to the USC Trojans.

# Virginia gained touted Class 2006 quarterback Peter Lalich of Springfield-West Springfield, Va., over Miami-Florida, Michigan, North Carolina State and UCLA.

# Alabama pledged defensive back Michael Ricks of Leighton-Hubbard, Ala/Northeast Mississippi CC, Miss.

# Texas A&M pledged running back Joseph Reese of Pflugerville-Hendrickson, Tex.

# Kansas State has its 13th Class 2006 commitment in defensive back A.J. Whitmore of Nashville, Ark.

# Cincinnati signed Class 2006 receiver Lance Jeter of Beaver Falls, Pa.
