# Miami-Florida has a commitment from touted defensive back Phelon Jones of Mobile/McGill-Tollen, Ala.

# UCLA has a commitment from outstanding tight end Nate Chandler of San Diego-Mesa, Cal.

# Texas Tech has a commitment from offensive lineman Blake Emert of Garland-Sachse, Tex.

# West Virginia has a pledge from running back Victor Anderson of Louisville-St. Xavier, Kty., over Kentucky, Louisville and Tennessee. West Virginia recently gained running back Terrence Kerns of Frederick-Thomas Johnson, Md.

# Kansas State has verbals from offensive lineman Clyde Aufner of Peculiar/Raymore-Peculiar, Mo; and running back J.J. Mullins of League City-Clear Creek, Tex.

# BYU has commitments from offensive lineman Manaaki Vaitai of Euless-Trinity, Tex; defensive back Steven Thomas of Chino Hills, Cal; and receiver Ryan Kessman of San Jacinto, Cal.
