# Alabama has pledges from linebacker Jennings Hester of Atlanta-Marist, Ga; defensive back Sherod Murdock of Tampa-Middleton, Fla; and offensive lineman William Vlachos of Birmingham-Mountain Brook, Ala.

# Miami-Florida has a commitment from receiver Kayne Farquharson of Miami, Fla/El Camino CC, Cal.

# LSU pledged defensive back Delvin Breaux of New Orleans-McDonogh 35, La., over Florida and Mississippi.

# Wake Forest has a commitment from offensive lineman Doug Weaver of Roxboro-Person, NC., who was once headed to Duke.

# Arizona has a commitment from quarterback Bryson Beirne of Honolulu-Mid Pacific Institute, Hawaii.
