# Top 150 running back Ryan Houston, a 245-pound prospect from Matthews-Butler, NC., has chosen North Carolina over Miami-Florida, Clemson and Florida. Among many others were Penn State, Tennessee, North Carolina State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. He rushed for 1914 yards and 34 touchdowns as a junior.
# Mississippi State has a pledge from running back Lee Chambers of Coffeeville, Miss. The Bulldogs now have 17 commitments.
# Purdue added pledges from defensive lineman Nick Mondek of Naperville-Central, Ill; and tight end Colton McKey of The Woodlands, Tex.
# Huge 360-pound offensive lineman Darrell Davis-Budanauro of East Grand Rapids, Mich., chose Michigan State.
# Northwestern has a pledge from quarterback Dan Persa of Bethlehem-Liberty, Pa., over West Virginia.
# Minnesota has its 10th commitment in offensive lineman Chris Bunders of Maple Grove-0sseo, Minn.
# Pittsburgh has a pledge from defensive back Anthony Jackson of Cypress Bay-Weston, Fla.
# Rutgers has a pledge from defensive lineman Desmond Wynn of Wilmington-St. Mark's, Del.
# Oklahoma State pledged defensive lineman Quinton Prince of Oklahoma City-Herritage Hall, Okla.
# BYU has 17 commitments, including tight end/athlete Kaneakua Friel of Honolulu-Kamehamaha Secondary, Hawaii; tight end/defensive lineman Braden Brown of Salt Lake City-Highland, Utah; linebacker Aveni Leung-Wai of Grossmont CC, Cal; and defensive lineman Star Lotulelei of South Jordan-Bingham, Utah.
# Wyoming gained linebacker Gabe Knapton of Longmont-Skyline, Colo.
# Boise State has a pledge from running back Mitch Burroughs of Meridian, Idaho.
