# Florida has gained a verbal from Top 150 athlete Joe Haden of Fort Washington-Friendly, Md., over Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Georgia, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Tennessee, among others. The Gators also pledged offensive lineman Linval Joseph of Alachua-Santa Fe, Fla.

# Super Prospect tight end Billy Chavis of Beaumont-Westbrook, Tex., picked Baylor. The Bears now have 20 commitments.

# Super Prospect receiver DJ Donley of Folkston-Charlton County, Ga., announced for Georgia Tech.

# North Carolina State has gained a verbal from quarterback Russell Wilson of Richmond-Collegiate, Va.

# Maryland gained a verbal from offensive lineman Lamar Young of Jonesboro-Mundy's Mill, Ga.

# UTEP has gained running back Daniel Palmer of College Station-A&M Consolidated, Tex.

# Receiver Vincent Hill of Fort Washington-Friendly, Md., announced for Akron.
