# Purdue gained a pledge from quarterback Jamie Hampton of Cedar Bluff, Ala., who passed for 1989 yards and 35 touchdowns as a junior.

# North Carolina has a commitment from offensive lineman Chris Gray of Landrum, SC.

# Auburn has pledged linebacker Marshall Williams of Decatur-Southwest DeKalb, Ga.

# Texas Tech added defensive lineman David Neill of Flower Mound-Marcus, Tex.

# Kentucky has a commitment from defensive lineman Shane McCord of Hartwell-Hart County, Ga.

# Colorado State has a commitment from linebacker Luke Diehl of Castle Park-Douglas County, Colo.

# Wyoming pledged offensive lineman Alex Hays of Palisade, Colo.

# Central Florida gained a pledge from running back Ereck Plancher of Naples-Lely, Fla.
