# The Iowa Hawkeyes have a pledge from Super Prospect linebacker Kevin Rouse of Joliet-Catholic Academy, Ill., over Wisconsin, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Northwestern, North Carolina State and Iowa State, among others.

# Mississippi State has commitments from Super Prospect offensive lineman Derek Sherrod of Columbus-Caledonia, Miss; and offensive lineman/tight end/defensive lineman Colton Jenkins of Winona, Miss.

# Virginia has a commitment from tight end Andrew Devlin of Pittsburgh-Mt. Lebanon, Pa., over Boston College, Iowa, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.

# Wisconsin has a commitment from tight end Patrick Butrym of Waukesha-Memorial Catholic, Wis.

# Baylor has its 24th commitment in defensive back Vincent Butler of New Mexico Military Institute, NM. Recent commitment defensive linemen Adrian Campbell of Richardson-Berkner, Tex., has reopened his recruitment.

# Arkansas has a commitment from linebacker/defensive back Freddy Burton of Morrilton, Ark.

# Offensive lineman Scott Shugert of Oregon City, Ore., committed to Washington.

# Utah has commitments from defensive back Josh Broughton of Walnut, Cal/Citrus CC, Cal; and tight end/receiver Dallin Rogers of El Dorado-Union Mine, Cal.

# Buffalo signed three additional Class 2006 prospects for this upcoming season, including linebacker David Hubbard of Rancho Cucamonga-Etiwanda, Cal, Cal/Citrus CC, Cal; defensive back Chris Storr of Southfield, Mich; and kicker Taylor Packwood of Mesquite-Bishop Lynch, Tex.
