# Vanderbilt pledged Super Prospect linebacker John Stokes of Memphis-University, Tenn., over Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Memphis, Michigan, Mississippi, Stanford, Tennessee, Virginia and Wake Forest.

# North Carolina State has a commitment from offensive lineman Mike Golder of Apex, NC.

# Tulane has a commitment from offensive lineman Dhamari Thomas of Galena Park, Tex.

# UTEP pledged defensive lineman Greg Watkins of Houston-Cypress Springs, Tex.
