Matt Carufel of St. Paul-Cretin Derham Hall, Minn., who recently announced he was transfering from Notre Dame, has chosen
Minnesota over Iowa, according to the Minneapolis-Star Tribune. Carufel was the fourth sophomore to leave the Irish since April. Quarterback Zach Frazer transferred to Connecticut, quarterback Demetrius Jones, who started the season-opener against Georgia Tech, transferred to Cincinnati and tight end Konrad Reuland also left the team in September.
