There is a select group of fans that go to Illini matches that is a little crazier than the rest...they wear volleyballs on their heads and wear capes. Another dons a Lithuanian flag in support of one player from there (i'm that person)...We yell, make up crazy cheers, bother the other team...it's ok to make fun of girls you will never see again...But look for us when you get to Huff Hall....;

I have been involved with the Spike Squad at the Illini's women's volleyball team for 4 years now. I have to say that if you are not going to these matches, you are missing something. The team is great, the fans are nuts, and you can say hi to the ladies after the game. You really feel like you become part of the action and can affect the other team with your crazy cheers...September 30 and the 1st....COME OUT TO HUFF HALL TO SEE THE LOVELY LADIES OF ILLINOIS!!!!
