UConn Pulls Away, G-W Hangs Tough

NEW YORK - How cold is it in MSG with the dearth of fans? Snow flurries are predicted by halftime.

. . . At the under-8:00 media timeout, UConn holds a 20-16 edge and the Runnin' Bulldogs have weathered the first surge from UConn - this thing could be a game for a while longer.

. . . Both teams now have ten team fouls.

. . . Grayson Flittner, hero of the Kentucky game for G-W (and SportsCenter star), hit his first 3-pointer with just under 9 minutes left in the half to cut the lead to 20-12.

. . . The young feller handing out press passes for tonight's game initially handed us a pass for next week's Legends Classic in Newark, NJ - also run by the Gazelle Group. He was also reading off a credential list done in about point two font.

These are the same people that are going to be bringing us the College Basketball Invitational tournament this coming post-season. Cna you say "doomed to fail?" We can.
