Xavier Looking Stronger
AMHERST, Mass. -- Xavier is making this look easy, especially with UMass committing unforced turnovers. The game is far from over, but nothing UMass has done to this point indicates they have a comeback in them. With 11:59 left, Xavier leads, 54-38, and Etienne Brower will shoot three after the timeout. Xavier's Josh Duncan picked up his fourth foul on the play.
We're awaiting updated stats, but as of the last media timeout, Xavier had score more points in the paint in the second half (12) than UMass had scored total (10).
The Musketeers have just one player in double figures to this point (Derrick Brown with 10), but three more have eight apiece: C.J. Anderson, Jason Love and Drew Lavender.
UMass' Papa Lo checked in around the 12 and a half minute mark to a rousing cheer from the crowd.
