We Made It

By Elliot Olshansky - October 26, 2007

We've finally arrived at our destination, after 18 hours on the road. It was a fun trip, to be sure, but we didn't go without our share of bumps in the road.

I'll detail those bumps for you before you get set to turn on CSTV and click over to Power Plays for all the game action...

The most notable came during our brief sojourn in Pennsylvania, when the lone rented car among our three vehicles got stuck at a gas pump. Actually, to be more specific, the pump got stuck in the car.

No, I'm not kidding. In attempting fill up, the BU students found themselves unable to free the nozzle from the gas tank of the rented vehicle. I've never seen it happen before, and I hope I never see it again.

Eventually, though, the gas station attendant was able to use a wrench to free the nozzle, and before too long, we were back on our way.

From there, our biggest issue was the brutal Friday afternoon traffic in downtown Ann Arbor, but we made it to Yost Ice Arena in plenty of time for the game. While I changed into my traditional game night attire of sport jacket (with CSTV lapel pin), polo shirt and jeans, the Terriers got geared up in their traditional garb. And now, here we are, less than an hour from game time, with a hardcore contingent of Terrier fans firmly entrenched in section 20 of Yost Arena, and one very relieved journalist safely ensconced in Press Box C high above the ice at Yost Arena.

At this point, I'll direct you over to Power Plays for all the game action. Actually, one more thing before I go...a little prank I tried to pull on some slumbering Terriers this morning...as you can see, it didn't exactly work out.

An Attempt To Mess With The Dog Pound

Enjoy the game!
