Rice Off and Running

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The first kickoff of the new season, using the new rules change that moved the football back to the 30-yard line, certainly benefited Rutgers as Kordell Young returned it 56 yards to put the Scarlet Knights in excellent field position.

From there, it didn't take long for Ray Rice to scamper to his first touchdown the season, a 34 yard burst through the porous Buffalo defensive line. Before people have even sat down in their seats it's already 7-0 Rutgers 1:22 into the game. There figures to be plenty of scoring in this one, done almost exclusively by the Scarlet Knights.
