Clausen sitting

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Jimmy Clausen has taken a seat on the Notre Dame sideline, and he's probably OK with the decision.

Evan Sharpley came into replace the freshman, and his first throw was almost intercepted while his second was thrown under heavy pressure from the Michigan front four.

The Wolverine defense isn't done putting its imprint in this game. John Thompson made a fanatastic tackle to stop Armando Allen on a third-down run for the Fighting Irish.

Notre Dame's day can be summed up in two stats. Negative 52 rushing yards and 22 total yards.
