First Half Observations

ATLANTA - The score going into the locker room is Clemson 3, Georgia Tech 7. To this point, the game has been similar to watching two heavyweight boxes just trade punches with each other. Neither fighter has been able to deliver a decisive blow, so we are essentially viewing a stalemate.

However, Clemson did gain some momentum at the end of the half by picking up three key third and long plays to set them up with a 30 yard field goal attempt by Mark Buchholz. However, he chipped the ball just right of the goal posts for this second miss of the afternoon.

Buchholz's problems in the kicking game could be attributed to fatigue. Last night, he played a full soccer game against Duke at home.
