First Quarter Observations

The Jackets have the lead, but neither team has really showed any dominance on offense. This game appears to coming down to streaks and momentum shifts.

Clemson has used the passing game almost exclusively in the first quarter allowing the Jackets blitz-happy defense to tee off on quarterback Culler Harper. RB's James Davis and C.J. Spiller have not been a factor at all thus far.

Tech is now at a 4th-and-2 at the Clemson 40 yard line with a big decision to make in the game. The Tech offensive line has not had any problems opening up holes for RB Tashard Choice thus far.

On another note, freshman QB Josh Nesbitt was given an opportunity to get a couple of snaps. However, he was not able to find any open receivers on his first passing play. Then on his second play, he fumbled the snap out of the shotgun by not looking the ball as Clemson was showing a heavy blitz.

With neither team setting themselves apart from the other, this game should be close down the final whistle.
