Getting His Kick(s)

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Obi Egekeze has gotten the monkey off his back.

While some might have expected Ralphi Friedgen to treat the red zone as four-down territory after Egekeze's two missed field goals in the first half - one of which, admittedly, was a 51-yarder - the junior from Augusta, Ga., connected on a 26-yard field goal to tie this game up at 17.

Maryland came out with a strong drive to start the second half, and seems to have shaken off the rough end to the first half...with the exception of quarterback Jordan Steffy, who's still being evaluated. Chris Turner really hasn't missed a beat, though, and Maryland is very much into this game on both sides of the ball.
