Kicking Woes

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass - One thing that hasn't changed under new Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski is that the Eagles can't kick.

Following last week's game when kicker Steve Aponavicius sent three kick offs out of bounds - including 2 in a row - this week hasn't been much better. Jagodzinski replaced Aponavicius on kick offs, sending in highly-touted freshman Billy Bennett who has promptly rewarded his coach with short kicks and yet another squib out of bounds. To add to the problems, Aponavicius missed his latest extra point attempt.

It hasn't hurt them yet, but if BC doesn't figure out the kicking game soon, the missed PATs and field position will come back to haunt them.
