Run and Shoot: Mucho Macho

Mucho Macho

They've gone and done it now. Brett Clay throws an interception to Victor "Macho" Harris, Harris runs it back from the 17, and dives into the end zone to make it 9-7 Tech, 10-7 after a Jud Dunlevy PAT.

You could almost smell this one coming. It started when Virginia Tech downed a punt at the two-yard line, then snuffed out two rushes by the Pirates, forcing Clay to put the ball in the air. The crowd was roaring throughout the defensive stand, and sure enough, the explosion they've wanted an excuse for all day finally came.

The next ECU drive is going to be key. If the Pirates can't shake it off and get back to the way they'd been playing from their third drive on, this one is going to start going the way it was expected to go, and that won't be pretty for the people in purple.
