Hello from Sabanville

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Greetings from the druid city, more commonly known to college football folk as Tuscaloosa.

The temperature is in the mid 80s, the sky is a beautiful shade of blue and there isn't a cloud for miles, at least according to the weather channel's web site.

Anyway, we are expecting a truck sighting at around 5:45 p.m. CDT, and its name is Darren McFadden.

The Arkansas running back and 2006 Heisman trophy runner-up has in many ways stolen Nick Saban's thunder for this game. The new Alabama coach's return to college football has been one of the main story lines in the SEC this season.

But alas, Saban is a coach, and McFadden is the prime attraction this evening.

The main match up tonight will be Alabama's defense against McFadden and fellow Razroback runner Felix Jones. Last season, Jones finished second to McFadden in the SEC in rushing. Alabama's defense has been rock solid through its first two games, giving up a combined 16 points to Western Carolina and Vanderbilt.

Arkansas is Alabama's first true test, and vice versa for the Razorbacks whose only game was a 46-26 victory against Troy two weeks ago.
