Tech takes the lead

ATLANTA - The Jackets offense looked stagnant inside the 10 yard line as a Tashard Choice run to the left was stuffed by several Tiger defenders. On second down, QB Taylor Bennett threw a short pass to fullback Mike Cox which gave them just three on the play. On third down, Bennett lobbed a pass to the back near corner of the end zone looking for wide receiver Greg Smith.

However, Clemson cornerback Haydrian Lewis was tugging on Smith's jersey and got tangled up with him leading to a pass interference call that the Jackets up with an automatic first down at the Clemson 2. Lewis was shaken up on the play as the trainers had to come out and take a look at him. I'll report more on his status later.

On the next play, RB Tashard Choice ran to the right through a monster of a hole in the line to pick up an easy touchdown. Georgia Tech now leads the game 7-3.
