Arizona Takes Lead Over USC

LOS ANGELES -- USC needed to make some halftime adjustments. Less than four minutes into the second half, it doesn't look like it made the correct ones.

The offense came out flat, going three and out on its first possession, and the defense still hasn't figured out Willie Tuitama, who led the Wildcats on a 40-yard drive inside the USC 30-yard line. Faced with fourth and two at the USC 28-yard line, Arizona coach Mike Stoops decided to play it safe and kick the field goal instead of trying for the first down. It paid off as Jason Bondzio converted on a career-high 45-yard field goal attempt to give the Wildcats a 13-10 lead early in the second half.

Tuitama, meanwhile, has completed 18-of-23 passes for 182 yards.
