Big day in Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. - On a breezy warm Colorado fall day the Buffs will look to bounce back after a tough 27-point loss to Kansas State last week. The surprising 6-0 No. 15 Kansas Jayhawks walk into Boulder atop the Big 12 North as the season of stunners continues in college football.

Twenty minutes to game time and Buffs are hoping to shed the snide of 411 yards of total offense last week which produced only 20 points. Colorado quarterback Cody Hawkins threw three interceptions last week as well and will have to be much more efficient against Kansas' Thorpe watch list candidate Aqib Talib. Talib has three interceptioons on the season and has been utilized on offense as well for the Jayhawks.

Colorado running back Hugh Charles has four consecutive 100-yard rushing performances which places him in some exclusive territory in the CU record books. It is just the seventh time in CU's impressive running history that a player has strung together four consecutive games of 100+ yards on the ground. Among those that have done it are CU's sole Heisman Trophy winner, Rashaan Salaam and current Tennessee Titans running back Chris Brown.

As usual the stadium continues to fill as kickoff nears, but another strong Colorado crowd is expected.
