Ito Impressive

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Jeremy Ito has put Rutgers up 10-7 with a 27-yard field goal, capping off a 12-play, 76-yard drive that took 5:02 off the clock.

It was a nice kick, but Ito's been contributing all night for the Knights.

Last week against Maryland, Ito's punting was suspect, to say the least, as he really struggled to make that part of his game work. His punting tonight, however, has been everything that Rutgers has needed, as he's gotten good distance and looked much more confident in tough situations, like his punt out of the end zone in the first quarter.

That's a definite area of improvement for Rutgers this week, and it's one of those little things that can prove quite helpful in winning football games.
