KU-A&M: Would you believe a scoreless half?

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Believe it.

At halftime, Texas A&M and undefeated Kansas have yet to dent the scoreboard.

Both teams have had chances to score. On their second possession, KU drove to the A&M 10, but Chris Harrington blocked a 27-yard field goal attempt.

In the second quarter, the Jayhawks again drove into the red zone, but kicker Scott Webb's 31-yard kick was wide left.

On the ensuing possession, the Aggies had their best drive, moving the ball 69 yards in 10 plays to the Kansas 9. But on 4th-and-1, battering ram Jorvorskie Lane was stuffed in the backfield by several KU defenders.

KU leads in total offense, 170 to 136. Jayhawk Brandon Anderson has been the offensive star, with 100 yards rushing on nine carries. Todd Reesing is only 9-15 for 60 yards against the usually-porous Aggie secondary. A&M has only 68 yards on the ground.
