Texas-OU: Boom, Sooners!

DALLAS, TX -- OU freshman running back DeMarco Murray just busted a 65-yard TD run to give Oklahoma a 21-14 lead over Texas late in the third quarter.

It looked like a normal off-tackle play, but a hole opened, Murray hit it, hurdled a blocker on the ground, and outran Texas safety Marcus Griffin to the end zone.

The run gave Murray 100 yards on 8 carries today.

The Longhorns earlier wasted an opportunity to take the lead, committing the game's first turnover.

Texas started the second half at its own 28 and efficiently moved the ball down the field. Offensive coordinator Greg Davis obviously rediscovered the tight end in practice this week, as Jermichael Finley had another 15-yard catch to start the drive, and backup TE Blaine Irby hauled in a 29-yarder for his first catch of the year. At the OU 14 on the 8th play of the drive, Jamaal Charles took a handoff, made a juke, and looked headed for the end zone. But OU LB Curtis Lofton stripped him from behind, and the Sooners recovered on the five.
