Third quarter wrap/Kansas touchdown

BOULDER, Colo. - The Buffs again limited a Cody Hawkins interception to just a Kansas field goal and the Jayhawks lead 13-7.

In a quarter where the Buffs offense looked to get the ball rolling, Kansas has had an answer. The Buffs again have moved the ball well with 243 total yards through three quarters but have only seen paydirt once. Third downs have also not been very friendly as CU is just 4 of 14 in that stat.

Kansas early in the fourth quarter was able to put a little breathing room between them and the Buffs as they extended their lead 19-7 on a 4-yard touchdown pass to tight end Derek Fine. The Jayhawks missed the two point conversion and have a two score lead with 10:23 remaining in the fourth.
