Vols, Bulldogs looking to get back into SEC East chase

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - No. 11 Georgia travels to Tennessee Saturday afternoon looking for its fourth straight win on Rocky Top and a share of the SEC East lead.

Despite a 2-2 start for the Volunteers this season fans seem to be hyped up for the game. With an hour before kickoff scalpers were still asking for atleast $125 a seat. Fans may be dissapointed in the Vols start, but it hasn't affected their attitudes so far. It will be a warm sunny day in Knoxville with a slight breeze from the east.

Both the Vols are Bulldogs have one conference loss and the loser will most likely be out of the race for the East crown.

Here are some of the storylines to watch for during the game:

Tennessee won last year in Athens 51-33, but gave up two special teams touchdowns, a punt return and a kick return. That trend has continued this season as the Volunteers have given up five non offensive touchdowns: 2 fumble returns, two punt returns and an interception return for scores.

Georgia has a dual running attack of Knowshon Moreno and Thomas Brown that has combined for 825 yards and nine touchdowns in the Bulldogs five games. The Volunteers have given up over 200 yards on the ground in both of their losses so look for Georgia to rush early and often.

Tennessee quarterback Erik Ainge is leading the SEC in passing yards a game at over 285 yards a game. Ainge is coming off a career high 334 passing yard effort against Arkansas State and has only been sacked twice in 171 passing attempts this season. If the Vols can continue to protect their senior qb expect Tennessee to put up some impressive numbers through the air.

Many are calling this the most important game in Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer's career. Fans are looking for a change and if the Vols fall to 2-3 the pressure for change at head coach will continue to grow.
