Back and forth they go

NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma's going to win this game. Indeed, the Sooners may have another three touchdowns in them. All the same, Baylor likely has another two.

That's just the kind of game it's been. The Sooners have put together a dozen big plays to lead 45-21 with 12:16 to play, but OU defensive coordinator Brent Venables is going to want to burn the game tape. Because while OU has rolled up 480 yards of total offense, if the Bears can manage to start their next drive at the 18 and go the distance, they will have 480 as well.

Manuel Johnson has caught two bombs from Sam Bradford, and another for a 13-yard touchdown. But the next play Baylor runs for 40 or more yards with be its fifth of the game.

It has to be true.

There are no dominant teams in college football this season, just winners and losers. From the looks of things, when it's over, OU will have played 10 and won nine, even while giving no indication just how it will manage to win next week at Texas Tech, even as all evidence points toward the Sooners finding a way, whatever it may be.
