Kansas leads 31-7 after an uneventful third quarter

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas added three points to its lead and Iowa State to 35 total yards in the third quarter.

Kansas opened up the second half by forcing a punt and driving into Iowa State territory to set up a 37-yard Scott Webb field goal. Each team had two more chances in the third quarter but could not get on the board. Sophomore quarterback Todd Reesing's productivity flagged in the second half as he went 4-of-8 with 32 passing yards and no touchdowns.

Reesing appears to be done for the night - backup quarterback/wide receiver Kerry Meier is under center for the Jayhawks, who hold a 31-7 lead with 13:13 to play.
