Reesing adds to his Heisman resume

LAWRENCE, Kan. - He may still be on the outside looking in, but Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing is making a compelling case for Heisman candidacy.

Reesing just led the Jayhawks on another impressive 80-plus-yard touchdown drive. Through one quarter, Reesing is 9-for-10 with two touchdowns and 128 passing yards. Kansas wide receiver Dexton Fields has been Reesing's most reliable target so far, making five catches and taking two to the end zone.

Iowa State hasn't had much luck on offense, gaining just 42 yards and picking up just three touchdowns in the first quarter. Iowa State quarterback Austen Arnaud is playing in place of Bret Meyer on the Cyclones' first drive of the second quarter. Meyer isn't hurt - Arnaud routinely gets one or two possessions a game.
