Tigers jump out to 14-0 lead at the half

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Missouri engineered two long scoring drives and held the Kansas offense in check to take a 14-0 lead at halftime.

Kansas' Todd Reesing and Missouri's Chase Daniel were often mentioned in the same breath in the weeks leading up to this game, but Daniel is playing much better than Reesing so far tonight. Daniel completed 21-of-26 passes in the first half for two touchdowns and 167 yards. Reesing threw his first interception in his last 215 attempts and completed just nine of his 17 attempts.

This game was billed as a matchup between a dominant defense - Kansas - and a high-powered offense - Missouri. So far, the Mizzou offense is firing on all cylinders, rolling up 272 total yards to Kansas' 139. Kansas will receive the ball to start the third quarter and try to turn things around. For now, the Jayhawks trail 14-0.
