Bullet dodged again ... and controversy

SAN ANTONIO - Oklahoma has already been penalized for 58 yards. Missouri for only 10.
Yet, right now, it's the Tigers thinking they can't catch a break.

Let's review.

Facing third-and-9 at the 18, Marcus Walker was hit for pass interference. The flag couldn't have been later and the Sooner coaches couldn't have been more upset. However, that's not where the story ends.

Next play, on a QB draw, Chase Daniel's tackled on top of the goal line, but the refs rule the ball did not cross the plane of the goal line. Now Missouri's upset. Still, the ball was at the 1. No problem, right. So it seemed, but the Tigers went to the well once too often, calling another QB draw. DeMarcus Granger and Curtis Lofton stopped Daniel for a loss of 2.

Again, the Tigers settle for a field goal.

Yardage is near even, but Mizzou leads with 10 first downs to OU's four. The Sooners have NOW committed 63 yards in penalties. And yet, for all of that, OU leads 7-6.

Strange game
