Halftime in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fl. - It's been a back and forth half in Jacksonville, and it ends the way it started: tied up, at 16-16.

Some momentum changing plays and a late touchdown drive have a game largely dominated by Matt Ryan and BC into one that could swing either way over the final 30 minutes. The stadium remains largely unfilled, but the weather remains good and the

One significant story line that could hugely affect the second half is the kicking game. BC has missed a field goal and extra point, the latter being returned for a Virginia Tech touchdown, and has also had a kickoff head out of bounds. BC's offense across the 50-yard line could become a 4-down offense if Jagodzinski gets too scared to send his kicker out.

Player of the Half: Matt Ryan. The BC quarterback showed off his skills, throwing for 197 yards on 21-31 passing, and rushing for a 14-yard touchdown. The Hokies will need to come up with a solution for Ryan, who they have yet to sack.

Play of the Half: Duane Brown's second block. The return for two points killed BC's momentum and turned a two-score game into one Tech could tie with a touchdown.

Key for BC: Turnovers. The Eagles certainly did well here, picking up two including a 51-yard fumble return for a touchdown and forcing Glennon into his first interception since September.

Key for Tech: Containing Ryan. Not so far, though they have managed to tighten up in the red zone. Ryan has had more time to sit back and throw than he did in Blacksburg, and that will need to change to put the Hokies on top.

Key match-up: Tyrod Taylor's running has yet to play a big factor in the game. With Glennon getting a rhythm toward the end of the half, Taylor may play even less of a role in the second period.
