Run and Shoot: Music City Bowl pregame

Music City Bowl pregame

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville or Catsville? Sure it's lame, but it's true. UK probably had 60 percent of the fans in the stadium for last year's game against Clemson, and that ratio seems to be about the same this year, if not more.

The obvious storylines for today's game:

1. How will FSU handle the suspensions of the 36 players who were involved in the academic scandal? By game time, it figures to have no effect. Pregame though, FSU looks like a high school team with only 30 players.
2. Rich Brooks and Bobby Bowden: friends, and coaches, forever. They are two of the most experienced, and most respected, coaches in the nation.
3. UK has 16 seniors playing in their final game. Those seniors, including quarterback Andre Woodson, running back Rafael Little, wide receivers Keenan Burton and Stevie Johnson and linebacker Wesley Woodyard, have been instrumental in turning the program around.
4. FSU has been to 26 straight bowl games. UK has been to two. Going into the game, that won't seem to matter too much because both teams need wins so bad for this year and next year.

It should be fun in Nashville. Keep in mind, UK beat Tommy Bowden's Clemson team in last year's Music City Bowl. With a win, the Cats will go to 2-0 against the Bowden family in Nashville
