Opening-drive scores at Insight Bowl

TEMPE, Ariz. -- No surprise: both Indiana and Oklahoma State scored on their opening drives.

Indiana had to settle for a field goal after Oklahoma State used a third-down blitz to halt the Hooisers' drive. The Cowboys drove 67 yards in six plays and about two minutes for a Dantrell Savage touchdown.

While the offenses of both teams operate from the spread formation, there are clearly two different philosphies. The Cowboys run much more from their three-wide, single back formation, often sprinting Robinson out on options. That's why he finished the regular season with 777 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

Even though it's early, if the Cowboys can force Lewis to become a pocket passer they stand a good chance of coming out on top.

Play stopped with about six minutes left in the first quarter after Indiana cornerback Tracy Porter laid still on the field. Porter collided helmets with teammate defensive lineman Greg Brown while making a tackle. He was able to walk off the field with the help of trainers.
