Beamerball Strikes Early

JACKSONVILLE, Fl. - Matt Ryan completed five of his first seven to drive BC down to the Tech 18 yard line, but BC's kicking woes continued with a blocked Steve Aponavicius kick. Beamerball struck again, with Nekos Brown blocking his second career kick.

If nothing else, its opening drive was an overall positive for BC. Ryan looked crisp passing for 39 yards on seven attempts, and a running game that was non-existent in the first battle gained 17 yards. The obvious line was the biggest difference, as they protected Ryan and consistently opened holes.

Tech's first drive just ended with a three-and-out after a Tyronne Pruitt sack of Sean Glennon on first down. BC will take over at its own 14.
