PSU-A&M: Penn State answers, pronto

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- That didn't take long.

Penn State quickly busted up the tie game with a 38-yard TD run by freshman Evan Royster.

At the end of three quarters, the Nittany Lions lead A&M 24-17.

After A&M's game-tying FG, Penn State mounted an 8-play 84-yard TD drive.

After two plays and a penalty, the pro-Aggie crowd was going nuts as PSU faced a 3rd-and-6. Anthony Morelli, however, calmly delivered a 21-yard strike to Derrick Williams to bring some sanity back to the dome.

Later, facing a 3rd-and-1 at the A&M 38, Royster busted through a hole in the middle of the line and the A&M safeties were nowhere to be seen. The TD run was the longest run of the year for Royster.

Unofficially, Penn State outgained A&M 102-77 in the quarter.

It's been a good one so far. Heading to the 4th...
