Ball State settles for another field goal

Toronto, On. - The Ball State Cardinals' best drive of the game so far did not result in a touchdown.

However, Ball State did score three points on a 24-yard field goal by Ian McGarvey, cutting Rutgers' lead to 17-6 midway through the second quarter here at the International Bowl. Ball State drove 73 yards on 15 plays, but was stopped at the Rutgers seven on an incomplete pass on third-and-four.
